Moving to an ALF in Florida from out of state can be a very easy process. We do have a virtual tour set up for residents, families, friends who cannot make it to the campus, so they can get a feel for the community as a whole.
One thing I always urge people who can’t make it to the campus is look on that virtual tour if staff looks engaging with residents. Do residents look clean and happy? And as the facility, as a whole look clean?
And in addition to that, you know, be looking for the community to have a host of providers that makes it like a turnkey solution. So for example, here we have physicians, a pharmacy, and a whole host of third party providers. So somebody from out of state could jump into an environment that kind of is a holistic clinical setup for them.
And also, you know, many of our residents do enjoy the furnishings that we have in the rooms, beds, recliners, TVs, or working window treatments. So think of what you need to bring to set up your resident for a long term success.
