Hi, I’m Blake Anderson. I’m one of the owners of A Banyan Residence Assisted Living, and welcome to our Movie Theater.
Now, we utilize this for a lot of special events where we will do scheduled screenings of old classic films. We will televise all of the major football, basketball, baseball games for those that are interested. And actually, we utilize this space on Saturdays and Sundays for religious services.
It’s not just the scheduled screenings that are a benefit. Every day after dinner, we’ll usually put on any movie of request, and even during the day. If a resident is not interested in some of the activities that we’re sponsoring, we’ll bring them in here and put on favorite shows like, I Love Lucy or any old movies that they’re familiar with.
This is a very calming space and it’s a way for people to kick back and relax without having to be in their room.
